For the past several years, we have traveled out to Elk City, OK to attend a Mardi Gras party at a Catholic church where the mother of one of Joe's hunting buddies attends. She also usually buys a table at the OK Catholic Charities St. Patrick's Green Tie Gala. This year we opted to attend the Gala, which was held at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Here I am with the statue of John Wayne.
Here we are in the Great Hall. There are ginormous paintings of the Grand Canyon (seen behind us here), the falls in Yellowstone, Chimney Rock in Nebraska, the pacific shoreline, and the 5th one I'm not sure where that was. It's beautiful in this hall surrounded by the large paintings.
