Sewing Room Update

Slowly, but surely my sewing room is coming together. This is the time of year when I start sewing the t-shirt blankets for the sorority; however, this year I DID NOT volunteer. HAHA I got smart. Kaitlyn's Big Sis requested I make hers, and I will. But I'm really not planning on sewing any unless they have a few that didn't get picked up by some other moms. I figured next year I'll be back to sewing several in Kaitlyn's pledge class since they will be seniors. This is the view from the door looking in.
I've had these two computer desks since I worked at the engineering firm. I bought them when I left 20 years ago. I've used them in various places in the house as a computer desk. One has been in the garage for a few years. I put them back to back for a large sewing area.
My Janome Memory Craft sewing machine. I paid about $800 for it on sale about 15 years ago. I don't know what I'd do without it. I love it and it's soooo much better than a Singer.
My Janome Babylok Serger. I have only used this a few times in the last 10 years or so. It scares me. I need to go take classes on it AGAIN.
My Olfa cutting mat. LOVE IT! A must have for doing the t-shirt quilts or if you want to do any type of quilting.
This was one of those cubicle things that Kaitlyn bought to go in her room at the sorority house. When she moved out she gave it to me. It keeps my sewing stuff so much more organized. I can find elastic when I need it, etc. I keep my old travel iron on top with a small travel sized cutting mat on one side and ironing surface on the other.
My rotary cutting straight edges I also keep on top along with a pressing ham for opening up seams a little better. I still have Joel's old dining table I'm going to put in the room too to use for laying out material to cut out and to do crafts on with the glue gun etc. Still have a wide corner of the room that has boxes Kristen packed up when she moved out of the sorority house (5 years ago!) that need to be gone through and cleaned out before I can move the table in. At least I have my sewing corner set up!
