August Update

Last week as Rush was winding down, Kaitlyn went home to OKC then the very next day had to go to 3 days of orientation at the OUHSC. She brought her scrubs home this past weekend and I had to alter the pants for her. She tried on her scrubs for me.  This is the color that her class picked out to wear. She has to wear them 4 days a week to school for the next 2 years.  On the other day, they have to dress up (Business casual) like they were in an office.  No more rolling out of bed with no makeup and no shower and going to class.......

While Kaitlyn was here, Kristen spent a couple of nights with us too and she complained about having to sleep with Kaitlyn.  So Joe crawled up in the attic and brought down the day bed (it has a trundle underneath).  Both girls slept in this bed when they got old enough to get out of the crib.  We put up a side rail (that slips underneath the mattress) on the open side so they wouldn't fall out. I had Kristen's bedding from when she was in the sorority house and I'm using it on the bed. HA! This is set up in my "sewing room."  I had to take out my cutting table however "for the team."

I still haven't moved the pictures that used to be over Kristen's queen bed in her room.  I plan on moving them over the day bed (one day).  The material below I found and I want to use it to make another OU dress.  My inspiration was the dress below that I found on Pinterest.  I couldn't find any chevron material that had OU colors so I went with the paisley.

I also liked these shorts I found on Pinterest.  I would like to sew some of the paisley material on the back pockets of my blue jean skirt or perhaps cut an OU out and applique it on the pockets.  We'll see.  I'll post pictures if I do it.

This is a sampler that I did of berries in 1982.  I gave it to mom and it hung in her living room for awhile but she gave it back to me when she repainted and redecorated that room.  I haven't hung it yet but it's temporarily in my sewing room for now.
