In honor of tomorrow's anniversary of how I got to Oklahoma via a Caribbean cruise, here are some pictures from 28 years ago. I went on a cruise with 3 other women. I did not know these women until about 3 mos before I left to go on the cruise. They are Judy - age 34 (from Charlotte, NC), Hazel - age 34 from Columbia, SC, ME with the frizzy perm - age 26 from Columbia, SC, and Linda - age 53 from Columbia, SC.

At the captain's cocktail reception.

At the celebrity look-alike contest which I won! Can you tell who I am? The music the orchestra played when I walked across the stage was "Here You Come Again."

The formal dinner.

Our table at the formal dinner.

The cruise ship was taken out of commission a couple of years after I went on it. It was the smallest one in the Carnival line at the time and was very old. I have not seen or heard from these women since I moved to Oklahoma. But we had a lot of fun the week we spent together and I'll always remember it.

Gosh, that was so many years ago. I remember you let me drive your Grand Prix while you were gone. :-)
How on earth did you meet those women you went with?
Merry
Hazel worked with Mrs. Nichols at the Post Office, I believe. She was a friend of Cal Conner's wife. Judy and Hazel were best friends and I think Linda (if that was her name) worked at the Post office too. You'll have to ask her.
I meant you'll have to ask Mrs. Nichols.
